  4. I am calling the Publix near me and speaking to them about tabling. Also I am going to ask people, who I know love animals, if they would adopt two cats. Hopefully raise a lot of money for the ANIMALS.

  5. Yesterday, June 3, I tabled with HRC for GayDays. One goal was to raise awareness about the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell by telling attendees about the win in the senate and to write postcards to thank their state senator, but also reminding the attendees that the battle was not over. The bill now goes to the House and we felt that the postcards would encourage the senators to repeal this bill in the name of Civil Rights. Also, we aimed at increasing membership by offering a low cost to join as a member. It was a great experience because I had the opportunity to meet gay, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders from all over the country. It served as a safe space for the LGBQT community because one could notice how everyone felt comfortable in their skin.
